Tunnel of love,Ukraine

Image
The Tunnel of Love is a section of industrial railway located near Klevan, Ukraine, that links it with Orzhiv. It is a railway surrounded by green arches and is three to five kilometers in length. It is known for being a favorite place for couples to take walks. "What a romantic view!" - was my first reaction when I visited this place. Actually, I went all alone in this journey, because I was impressed whenever this place is made by nature or humans created it. The line starts at Klevan station, on the Kovel-Rivne line, and reaches the northern area of Orzhiv, also served by a station on the main line. The whole line is about 6.4 km long, and about 4.9 km is covered by forest, within which this botanical phenomenon stretches anywhere from 3 to said 4.9 km, depending on how individuals count it.  Forever alone - just my choice, I went inside this impressive tunnel through train, and I reached the end. This was a long trip, but it was worth it. Mother nature created

Want to swim around Dubai's Burj Al Arab hotel? A charity race offers a rare opportunity

Image
Visitors to Dubai this month have the rare opportunity to swim around one of the world's most famous luxury hotels, the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah. A short distance from the city's coastline, the iconic sail-shaped tower (the fourth tallest in the world) perches on an artificial island in the blue waters of the Arabian Gulf.  Making the 800-metre swim around the island is normally impossible due to the high levels of boat traffic, not to mention strong currents. But registration has opened for the 13th annual Dubai Holding Burj Al Arab Swim on March 31, which will see the waters around the hotel boat-free and safely watched by lifeguards. The race is open to swimmers of all abilities above the age of 16, who will be able to take part in either 800-metre or 1,600-metre race categories. Up to 700 people are expected to turn up to compete. • The best luxury hotels in Dubai swimmers burj al arab, dubai Swimmers can take part in either 800-metre or 1,600-metre races. The winners will

Chile’s national parkland area is set to expand by ten million acres in the near future

This new agreement will create three new national parks, expand three existing ones and turn some smaller forestry areas into bigger parks. As well as protecting the environment and Chile’s biodiversity, they will also provide employment for up to 43,000 local people through conservation efforts and eco-tourism. These new Chile national parks will help create the proposed Ruta de los Parques (Route of Parks) encompassing 17 national parks stretching on a 1500 mile tourist route from Cape Horn to Puerto Montt. With such activities as hiking, sea kayaking and mountaineering on offer, a study last year said it could generate $270 million for the country. The announcement came last week with the government to donate nine million acres of land while another million has been donated by the widow of famous conservationist Doug Tompkins. Mr Tompkins is the co-founder of the North Face clothing brand and spearheaded efforts to create and expand national parks in the Palena province and in A

Norway Named World's Happiest Country

Results from the UN’s 2017 World Happiness Report are in, and this year Norway has leapt from 4th place to claim the top spot, bumping Denmark to second. Meanwhile America has slipped to 15th place, as the country’s growing sense of dissatisfaction is exacerbated by President Trump’s unpopular policies. Norway’s victory might come as a surprise to some, considering the Danes’ happiness-promoting lifestyle went mainstream last year. Hygge, the art of living cozily, was a bonafide trend in 2016, inspiring a slew of books and articles featuring tips on how to create the Danish hygge look in your own home. In truth the top spot was a close call, as the report explains: “All of the other countries in the top ten also have high values in all six of the key variables used to explain happiness differences among countries and through time – income, healthy life expectancy, having someone to count on in times of trouble, generosity, freedom and trust, with the latter measured by the
